Business Network Security: From Threats to Solutions
The Mineral Wells Technology Industry Council and Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a free seminar for Chamber businesses interested in learning more about cybersecurity awareness and how to best protect yourself and your business against a potential costly cyberattack.
Roger Russell (BCSS, CCAI, ITIL V3, RICXI) will lead the seminar. Roger is a sales engineer manager over network administration and cybersecurity for Vyve Broadband.
The seminar is scheduled for 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce. Feel free to bring your own lunch. Water and beverages will be available.
Among the topics Roger will discuss are:
- Introduction to business network security and why it is important.
- How many businesses in the U.S. are attacked every day/month/year? What are the costs to a business when it incurs a cyberattack?
- Identifying the most common kinds of threats and cyberattacks and how they try to infiltrate your networks and devices.
- Best practices for Cloud-based backup and recovery.
- WiFi vulnerabilities and security.
- What are the best ways to protect your data/network/devices?
- Emerging threats and how to best prepare for the future of cybersecurity.
